The printing of the ballots for the direct elections of national minority council members called for 13 November 2022 began today in the presence of the Deputy Chairperson of the Republic Electoral Commission Marko Jankovic, Commission member Brankica Jankovic and Commission Deputy Secretary Bojan Pudar, in the “Official Gazette” PE printing house.
Commission Deputy Chairperson Marko Jankovic said that for 19 of the 23 national councils of national minorities, members are elected directly, while for four they are elected via an assembly of electors. Based on the electoral roll closed on 28 October and the Decision of the Republic Electoral Commission, 457,094 ballots are to be printed for the direct elections of national minority council members, he said.
The direct elections of national minority council members will be conducted on 13 November 2022 at 949 polling stations, with the assemblies of electors being held at the same time, starting at noon, said Marko Jankovic.
