The Director of the Republic Statistical Office Miladin Kovacevic died, aged 72.
He was born 24 August 1952 in the Municipality of Gacko, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He graduated at the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade 1976, and earned his Master’s Degree two years later at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. He defended his Doctoral Thesis in 1984 at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.
He was member of the Council of Governor of the Serbian National Bank since 2012. Kovacevic headed the Republic Statistical Office since 2015 and was appointed into the composition of the Republic Electoral Commission in four subsequent legislatures.
“Miladin Kovacevic was an admirable professional and we enjoyed excellent cooperation. We lost an exceptional partner and friend. To him and his family, my deepest condolences”, says the Chairperson of the Republic Electoral Commission Vladimir Dimitrijevic.
