Republic Electoral Commission Secretary Srdjan Smiljanic, Biljana Zeljkovic and Vladimir Dimitrijevic, Republic Electoral Commission advisers, talked with representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) at the National Assembly House about the possibilities for improving the election process.
The main topic of the meeting was agreeing on the scope of the support ODIHR would provide to the Republic Electoral Commission, as well as defining the best way to fulfil the recommendations concerning voter education, contained in the ODIHR Report on the elections held in 2022.
The officials agreed that this is a very complex issue and the ODIHR representatives offered comprehensive help, all with the aim of educating voters and conveying all the necessary information about the election process in a timely manner. In that regard, the officials also agreed to have a special workshop with ODIHR representatives at the end of September or the beginning of October.
