The Director of the Republic Statistical Office Dr Miladin Kovacevic stated that 20.52% of eligible citizens had taken the vote in the Republic of Serbia by noon. 18.23% of eligible citizens had taken the vote in the Belgrade region, 23.93% in the region of Vojvodina, 19.28% in the region of Sumadija and Western Serbia and 21.14% in the region of Southern and Eastern Serbia. These results do not cover the turnout of voter from AP Kosovo-Metohija.
The Chairperson of the Republic Electoral Commission Vladimir Dimitrijevic noted the increased turnout especially in AP Vojvodina, as well as Central Serbia and the Belgrade region.
Dimitrijevic went on to note that the voting is progressing in an orderly fashion. He added that we have been informed by the media that Pavle Grbovic had been attacked outside of a polling station in Belgrade, as well as Bratislav Jugovic, MP of the Serbian Progressive Party, in Cacak. The police had been duly informed, Dimitrijevic stressed, and he assumes that the relevant authorities would do their job as expected.
